The Kicks From Your Favorite Christmas Movie

Harry and Marv may have actually wanted these the whole time

First Off

Look, we know this is a little late. 2 hours to be exact. We’re not gonna make an excuse or anything, but we will tell you this.

We have been actively tracking Santa for the last 72 hours straight. What have we found? Nothing.

It’s pretty hard to track a magic man that moves at the speed of light. So we had to delay this a bit for super obvious and logical Christmas reasons.

And speaking of Christmas…

One of the Classics

"Home Alone," released in 1990, has become synonymous with Christmas joy and childhood memories.

Directed by Chris Columbus and written by John Hughes, the film follows Kevin McCallister as he ingeniously defends his home against burglars, using a series of inventive booby traps.

The movie’s massive success led to several sequels and has remained a holiday staple for over three decades.

As you may have guessed, the adidas Forum Low "Home Alone" sneakers draw direct inspiration from the character Kevin McCallister's footwear in the film.

Attention To Detail

The color palette of red and white, accented with the adidas’ signature three stripes, evokes a sense of nostalgia and playful energy, reminiscent of Kevin's youthful spirit.

What sets these sneakers apart are the meticulously crafted details:

Velcro Strap and Burn Marks: Emulating the traps and challenges faced by Kevin, the sneakers feature a velcro strap and unique burn marks. These elements are not just aesthetic choices but also serve as callbacks to the memorable scenes from the film.

Glow-in-the-Dark Heel Loop: A special touch is added with a glow-in-the-dark heel loop, alluding to the famous heated doorknob scene, further cementing the shoe's connection to the movie.

Special Features

Kevin McCallistor Quote: Hidden within the shoe, behind the strap, is the quote, “This is my house, I have to defend it.” This line is one of the most iconic from the movie, capturing Kevin's resolve and bravery.

Graphic Insoles: The insoles of the shoes feature various graphics, including the detailed “Battle Plan” devised by Kevin and humorous depictions of the burglars, Harry and Marv, experiencing the aftermath of Kevin's booby traps.

Co-Branded Chenille Tongue Tags: These unique tags are inspired by the rugs in the McCallister home, adding an authentic and thoughtful touch to the overall design.

The Modern Connection

The release of these sneakers coincided with the new reboot of the franchise, "Home Sweet Home Alone," which is part of the same universe as the original.

Though Culkin did not return for the reboot, the new film maintains the essence of the original, with a young boy left alone to defend his home against burglars.

This sneaker is a unique blend of nostalgia, pop culture, and modern design.

For fans of the film or collectors of unique sneakers, these shoes offer a chance to step into the playful and brave spirit of Kevin McCallister.

Also if you’re grounded, lost without your family, setting booby traps, or doing any other Kevin type action, these would be a nice addition.
